Zoom is a common choice for video meetings, webinars and customer calls. Scheduling a meeting usually means leaving Odoo, creating the meeting in Zoom, and pasting the link back.
Odoo does not ship a native Zoom module, so the integration is a custom or third-party build. It creates Zoom meetings directly from Odoo calendar events, CRM activities or event registrations, so the link is on the record without the manual step.
Data Flow
What Data Moves Between Zoom and Odoo
The integration uses the Zoom API.
Odoo to Zoom: meeting creation requests when an Odoo calendar event or activity is scheduled.
Zoom to Odoo: the meeting link and identifier stored on the record, and optionally attendance data after the meeting.
What Goes Wrong
Common Pitfalls
No native module. Plan for a custom build and its maintenance.
Host accounts. A Zoom meeting needs a host with a licensed account, which the integration must map.
Authentication. Zoom API access uses an app with OAuth and tokens that expire.
Update and cancel. Rescheduling or cancelling in Odoo should update Zoom too, which is more work than create-only.
Time zones. Meeting times must be handled consistently across systems.
