eBay is a marketplace where you list items and receive orders, while eBay owns the buyer relationship.
Current Odoo versions do not ship a maintained native eBay connector. Integrating eBay with Odoo is done through a third-party connector app or a custom integration built on eBay's APIs. Either way, the goal is the same: marketplace orders land in Odoo so stock and finance stay correct.
Data Flow
What Data Moves Between eBay and Odoo
The integration uses eBay's Sell APIs for inventory, orders and fulfilment.
eBay to Odoo: orders, buyers, fees and shipping details.
Odoo to eBay: stock quantities and listing updates, and shipment tracking.
Two-way: inventory across channels.
What Goes Wrong
Common Pitfalls
No maintained native module. Older Odoo eBay connectors are no longer maintained, so plan for a third-party app or a custom build and budget for its upkeep.
API generations. eBay has moved from older APIs to the REST Sell APIs, so the integration must target the current set.
Listing model. eBay listings, variations and item specifics need a deliberate mapping to Odoo products.
Fee reconciliation. eBay fees must map to Odoo accounts.
Returns. eBay returns and cases need a handling path in Odoo.
