Amazon is a marketplace, not a storefront you control. You list against Amazon's catalogue, Amazon owns the customer relationship, and you receive orders and settlements.
Odoo ships a native Amazon Connector, available in the Enterprise edition, that brings Amazon orders into Odoo. Integrating it makes Odoo the back office for marketplace sales alongside any other channel, so finance sees one ledger.
Data Flow
What Data Moves Between Amazon and Odoo
The native Amazon Connector uses Amazon's Selling Partner API and runs on a scheduled cycle.
Amazon to Odoo: orders, customers, marketplace and referral fees, and shipment confirmations.
Odoo to Amazon: available stock for merchant-fulfilled listings, and shipment confirmation for self-shipped orders.
Fulfilled by Amazon: FBA orders are imported with FBA stock tracked as a separate location.
What Goes Wrong
Common Pitfalls
Enterprise edition. The native Amazon Connector is an Enterprise feature. On Community, marketplace sync needs a third-party app or a custom build.
FBA versus FBM. Fulfilled by Amazon and merchant-fulfilled orders behave differently and need separate stock handling.
Settlement reconciliation. Amazon fees and reserves must map to Odoo accounts so payouts reconcile.
Multiple marketplaces. Selling across Amazon regions means multiple marketplace registrations and currencies.
API quotas. The Selling Partner API is rate limited, so syncs are paced.
